Ring is a lot more than just video doorbells, though they do have some of the best video doorbells in the industry. The popular brand offers whole home security systems, as well as some stellar indoor and outdoor cameras. A couple of Ring’s biggest selling points are: Ring home security systems, which are some of the most affordable in the industry, and can be installed quickly and easily yourself; or, if you don’t want to go it alone, Ring professional monitoring, which is only $10 per month.
So you might be wondering if Ring ever offers meaningful sales, given that their prices are already so affordable. The good news is that, yes, they do! We keep an ear to the ground and scour the internet to compile all of Ring’s deals, which we’re going to share with you below.
Ring Sales
Whether you’re shopping on Ring’s site, on another site like Amazon, or in a local store, you’ll find an evolving lineup of sales and discounts throughout the year. Here’s a look at the Ring discounts you can expect to see on a regular basis. Here’s a look at some of the Ring discounts we’re currently seeing:

Seasonal Sales
Ring typically runs a seasonal sale. It’s easy to keep tabs on these sales, because Ring advertises them prominently on their homepage. At the moment, Ring is having a Spring sale, with average discounts ranging from 15 to 20 percent on cameras, video doorbells, smart lights, and full home alarm systems.
Keep in mind, a 15 to 20 percent discount is actually quite a nice savings for home security equipment. In Ring’s Spring sale, for example, you can get their popular Stick Up Cam for only $84.99 (versus $99.99 full price) and their Spotlight Cam for $159.99 (versus $199.99 full price). And you’ll get $40 off their five-piece home alarm system, bringing your cost down from $199.99 to $159.99. Not bad!
Did You Know? We’ve tested all of Ring’s cameras in our home. So if you’re looking for a versatile security camera that can keep burglars at bay, read our in-depth review of the Ring Spotlight Cam, or check out our Ring Doorbell review if entryway protection is what you need.
Black Friday and Cyber Monday Sales
Black Friday and Cyber Monday are great times to find deals on Ring cameras, video doorbells, and alarm systems. As you probably know, electronics are some of the hottest sellers in these sales. This year, Black Friday — the day after Thanksgiving — lands on November 24, 2023. Cyber Monday — the Monday after Thanksgiving — will be November 27, 2023. Mark your calendars!
You can count on sales happening on both these days, as well as the weekend in between. In many cases, there’ll be discounts a full week before and after these dates as well. During these sales, Ring may offer extra perks for signing up for their monitoring service, like add-on equipment, better warranties, and free shipping. Keep an eye on this page for the latest Black Friday/Cyber Monday offers as they become available.
Did You Know? Ring — an Amazon product — integrates well with Amazon Alexa for easy voice control. You can even buy a Ring camera or video doorbell in a bundle with an Echo Show 5. Keep an eye out for deals on these bundles around Cyber Monday and Amazon Prime Day. And if you really want Alexa compatibility, see our guide to the best home security systems that work with Alexa.
Amazon Prime Day Sales
Prime Day is an excellent time to save on Ring equipment, often rivaling Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals. And while the big day has already passed this year, you can expect it will be coming up again in summer of 2024 — usually sometime in June. We’ll let you know once we catch wind of when it’ll be happening on our guide to Prime Day deals on Ring cameras.
A couple of specific items to keep an eye out for: Ring’s fourth-generation video doorbell, expected to be released soon, and their upgraded Ring Floodlight Cam with 3D motion detection and a more stylish exterior. We don’t know if there will be deals on these products, but if there are, you’ll want to snatch them up before they’re gone.
Ring Discounts
20 Percent Discounts for the Military, Medical Personnel, Teachers, and Students
If you’re a nurse, veteran, teacher, or student, Ring salutes you with a 20 percent discount. These military, medical, and education discounts extend to:
- Active Duty, Veterans, and Dependents
- Police, Fire, and EMT
- Doctors, Nurses, and Medical Staff
- Pre-K, K-12, and Professors
- University Students
This 20-percent discount can’t be combined with any other sales or discounts. So, for example, if you want to buy a video camera that’s currently 20 percent off in Ring’s Spring sale, you won’t get an additional 20 percent off on top of that.
Also keep in mind this 20-percent discount can only be used on Ring’s list of eligible products. That said, the product list is long and plentiful. You can get video doorbells, indoor and outdoor cameras, smart lights, and whole-home security systems. Even Ring bestsellers like their Indoor Cam and Floodlight Cam are eligible for the discount.
10 Percent Discount on Ring Products as a Plus Subscriber
If you subscribe to Ring’s monitoring plan for $10 a month (or $100 a year), you get a 10 percent discount on select Ring products. This discount is a great way to add some extra features to your security system, like smart lights, smoke and CO sensors, and a panic button.
The $10-a-month Ring monitoring plan is called Protect Plus, and it includes video recording, extended warranties on all your Ring equipment, and 24/7 professional monitoring for your Ring alarm. Just enroll in Protect Plus and you’ll receive a discount code for 10 percent off your next Ring equipment purchase.
FYI: Every Ring Alarm system comes with a free 30-day trial of Ring's professional monitoring plan, Ring Protect Plus. After that, the monitoring plan costs $10 per month, or $100 per year (a $20 discount). This is a great deal, as most companies charge between $20-$40 per month for similar 24/7 monitoring. Read about our firsthand experience with Ring’s intrusion monitoring in our Ring Alarm review.
Referral Discounts
In the past, Ring has offered a referral credit of $10 to Ring customers for referring friends. If a new customer joined through your referral, you’d get a $10 credit for use on Ring products. The more friends you referred, the bigger your discount. At the moment, however, Ring is not running a referral program. We’ll let you know if it comes back.
Discounts on Certified Refurbished Equipment
When browsing Ring’s products, be sure to check their certified refurbished page for discounts on cameras and doorbells that have been restored to like-new condition. These items are offered at a discount — sometimes a substantial one. At the moment, their certified refurbished offerings include a Video Doorbell 3 Plus for $30 off, their Spotlight Cam for $70 off, and their bestselling Video Doorbell Pro for $75 off.
Final Thoughts on Ring Sales and Discounts
While Ring remains one of the least expensive DIY home security systems, there are still sales and discounts to be had throughout the year. And why pay full price if you can save a little money? Put a reminder on your calendar for the big sale periods around Black Friday/Cyber Monday (Thanksgiving) and Amazon Prime Day. You may also be able to find discounts through local retailers or online stores, so it doesn’t hurt to comparison shop.
And one final thing to keep in mind: You don’t necessarily have to pay for your Ring equipment in full up front. They offer one-year zero percent APR financing for qualified buyers. Spreading your payment out over the course of a year could really make a difference in your budget.
